About Set Screw

Set (grub) screws are fully threaded and headless, sitting flush inside the hole. They lock pulleys, gears and couplings to shafts by pressing their point against the shaft; the point style sets how they grip. Points are grouped by style: cup (most common in Taiwan), flat, cone, dog, ball and nylon tip; pick the point first, then the material.
