About Spring Pin
Spring (roll) pins are rolled from strip into a C-section or coiled tube. They spring against the hole wall, so they tolerate loose hole tolerances and absorb vibration.
Standards ISO 8752 · DIN 1481 · ISO 8750 · DIN 7343 · ASME B18.8.2
- Black oxide carbon steel
- Best spring rate and strength at the lowest cost.
- 304 stainless
- Corrosion resistant for wet, food or outdoor service.
How to choose
- Drill the hole to the standard's recommended size, not to the pin's free diameter.
- Heavy duty and shear loads: slotted ISO 8752. Shock or loose holes: coiled ISO 8750.
- Treat them as consumables — spring force drops once removed.
