About Double Washer

Wedge-locking washers come in pairs with cams on the inside faces. The cam angle exceeds the thread lead angle, so any loosening rotation wedges the joint tighter — geometric locking rather than friction.

How to choose

Install cam face to cam face — reversed, they do nothing.
Locking is reduced if the mating surface is harder than the washer.
