Blind rivets, set entirely from one side: the body passes through a clearance hole in both parts and a rivet gun pulls the mandrel until it snaps, upsetting the tail to clamp the joint. The standard choice for sheet metal, enclosures and signage where the back is unreachable. In a code such as 6-3 the first figure is the diameter range and the second the grip range; the bracket shows actual diameter and length. Available in aluminium/steel, black aluminium and all-stainless.

How to choose

• Measure the combined thickness first - outside the grip range the joint will not clamp properly.
• Aluminium rivets with steel mandrels leave rust spots outdoors; use all-stainless for full corrosion resistance.
• Countersunk heads need the hole countersinking to sit flush; dome heads do not.
