Aluminum foil tape is an aluminum foil backing coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is used to seal and patch joints on air ducts and insulated pipes, and wherever a reflective or shielding layer is needed. Sizes read as width x length, e.g. 1" (25 mm) x 50 m; sold by the roll.

How to choose

Pick 1" or 2" width to suit the seam; a wider tape is easier to lay flat when wrapping pipes.
Clean off oil, dust and moisture before applying, then press the tape down firmly by hand or with a squeegee.
Both rolls are wound on a plastic core, which is not affected by damp.
